Arfa Karani

With a strong interest in bridging the gap between academia and industry specifically for applied sciences, Arfa did her PhD in Physics focused on developing highly efficient solar cells. She’s committed to commercializing renewable energy technologies to enable a swift transition from conventional energy dependence to sustainable energy dependence in the near future. To this end, she has relevant experience from various roles at Equinor including Equinor Ventures, where she worked on investing in early-stage energy storage and hydrogen start-ups. She is now working at Klima (Energy transition tech VC fund) finding relevant investment opportunities in the net-zero power generation/consumption, energy storage, CCUS and green gases (including hydrogen) sectors.
