Mark Howitt

Mark Howitt is the Founder and CEO of Cleanergi. He invented its core technologies, minimising technological risk, maximising efficiency and environmental friendliness, and speed to market. He optimises the benefits for all integrated capabilities: renewables, electricity and hydrogen storage, major of-takers, electricity and hydrogen grids. He focuses on technologically simple solutions using proven equipment wherever possible. He also advises the United Nations Economic Council of Europe, the International Energy Agency and the Renewable Energy Association on matters relating to renewable energy, the energy transition, energy storage, regulation and policy.

A graduate in Physics with Electronics with four decades’ management and innovation consultancy experience world-wide. In a rail multinational, Mark developed 3 profitable and successful businesses: innovating and commercialising a non-destructive technology; logistics; and equipment overhaul. In electronics manufacturing, he developed and commercialised 5 product ranges and a number of innovative services, and helped two further businesses grow strategically.
