Synopsis

The UK government has taken a strategic policy decision to support blending of up to 20% hydrogen by volume into gas distribution networks. Industry trials to gather evidence to demonstrate whether blending can be used safely in the GB gas distribution networks are ongoing, but following completion of the safety assessment, the UK government will take a decision on whether to enable blending into the GB gas distribution networks.
